"Gunslinger" - Porsche Shoot
Play Video
Seattle, WA. December 2023. Me and my boy Nash pulled up to the parking deck of Northgate Mall to shoot the Gunslinger video because it's got great views and not too many cars up there. We were mid shoot when a nice ass porsche decided to come into our area and park right in the middle of the lot. Very lame! But when we talked to the guy he was cool and was actually there for the same reason as us... he was a videographer shooting product videos for a car dealership. Clearly great minds think alike with this parking garage. He pulled away and waited for us to finish our shoot, then he did his thing. We chatted for a bit and he let us do a take in front of the car! So with this dope coincidence I ended up with an alternate version of the Gunslinger video with a nice ass porsche in the background.

"Different Round Here" - Krog Street Market
Different Round Here (4Point Fam Preview)

Atlanta, GA - March 2023. Me and my video guy Owen hit the streets to capture some live takes of a few songs I had recorded that month, and stumbled on an awesome parking lot with a mural on one side and an old rust-colored building on the other. When Owen saw the steps leading up to the door of the building he immediately knew we needed to get me crooning "Different Round Here" on those steps. And man the shot he set up absolutely delivered!

Letters to Myself
A collection of thoughts, advice, and words of encouragement written to a younger me
March 19th, 2023
Yo! I just got back from SXSW… the bookend to the most incredible year of your life!
I know right now you’re stuck in your apartment writing music in the morning, taking online classes til the afternoon and then working your music job until midnight. It feels like your vision of being an artist and traveling the world and dating the women of your dreams are far away. But they’re a lot closer than you think!
In just six months, you’ll fly to Austin. You’re gonna lead a world-class rock band on a three-week tour across 3 countries and 2 languages. I hope you’re getting some sleep… because you’re not going to get much of that for a while!
In Austin you’ll meet a beautiful UT student at Cava. You won’t see her again that trip… but you’ll make an impression on her. She’ll remember you months later when you invite her to a show. And she’ll remember you a year later when you invite her to YOUR show!
You’ll fly to Mexico City, where you’re treated to a 5-star hotel and fine Mexican cuisine as the band prepares to play the country’s biggest festival. You’ll coordinate interviews, rehearsals and transportation in Spanish, and somehow not fuck anything up!
You’ll meet a beautiful architect walking her dog. You’ll meet for drinks at El Palenquito (great choice by the way). Mescal, chili de arbor and salt. Be careful… she’s going to teach you a thing or two. But not before she sneaks into your hotel room at 7am to send you off before your flight to Panama!
You’ll produce a concert in front of the oldest colonial ruins in the Americas, funded by the Panamanian government and broadcast on national TV. You’ll party with the head of the National Bank on his yacht and enjoy raspado and mariscos with great friends. The night before you leave, you’ll almost fuck up big time… but you’ll get lucky. Guess no one bats 1.000!
After the tour, you’ll graduate college, hit the road again for a month-long U.S. tour, make your performance debut opening for Making Movies in your hometown, live with your best friend in San Francisco, go back to Madrid (in many ways the birthplace of 4Point!), meet your Italian sweetheart in Rome, perform with a Grammy-winner, move back to Atlanta…
…and cap off the craziest 12 months of your life right where it started… in Austin, TX baby!
If you don’t believe what I just told you, I don’t blame you. I still can’t believe it either! But keep going. If you can embrace the work for just a little longer, you will have everything you have ever dreamed of and more!
The raindrop breaks through rock not by violence but by continuously falling
January 5th, 2023
Things will happen that throw you off your rhythm. This is inevitable.
In a few year's you're going to have to take a months-long hiatus from making music to learn the industry and save up cash to launch your career.
It's going to drive you crazy not being able to create. But keep your eye on the prize. It's all part of the plan. This period will set you up for the best year of your life! And it's going to birth a song called Spread Too Thin ⛓
Right now you're obsessed with discipline across days and weeks. Establish habits, wake up early, get your work in, don’t miss days. You're demanding perfection every day. That's lit! But what will really change the game for you is discipline across months and years.
You're not going to stay perfect forever. Something is coming and it's going to break you off your course. When it does, will you change the course? Or get right back to it as soon as you can?
In the first 7 years of your musical journey you'll have several months-long periods where you fall off your grind, sometimes for good reasons and sometimes not. But every time, you'll come back and pick up where you left off. That’s how you'll know this is actually what you want to do. You're going to have the life of your dreams touring the world with an amazing rock band... and give it up to get back to being a nobody artist! No matter how dope your distraction is, you'll always come back. So far that's what's made the difference!
